DC TUENSANG NOTIFIES ON REVISED RATES OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

As decided in the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) meeting held on 30th April 2021, the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang has notifies on the revised rates of inter district commercial passenger vehicles plying to/from Tuensang with immediate effect till further order.

The following under mentioned COVID-19 safety guidelines are to be strictly followed by all drivers/passengers:

  1. In all passenger taxi, there should not be more than two persons sitting on the middle and rear row seats. In case of rear seats being along the length of the vehicle, not more than one person should sit on each of the rear seat. In the front row seat, including the driver there should not more than two persons sitting. In any case the passengers should not be more than 50% of the seating capacity. 
  2. All local passenger taxi shall maintain a log book of all the passengers with details including contact number.
  3. In case of buses, the passengers should sit on alternate seats and there should always be a vacant seat between two adjacent passengers sitting. Further no standing passengers will be allowed to travel.
  4. In all passenger vehicles both the driver, attendant and the passengers should wear masks. Further, the driver/attendant should make mandatory provision for hand sanitizers for use by the passengers. Only passengers wearing masks shall be allowed to travel. The Commercial vehicles moving for long distance should be mandatorily cleansed and disinfected before start of every fresh journey with new passengers. Those moving for short distances will also be disinfected regularly by the divers/attendants.

 

The above provisions shall be monitored and enforced by a joint team comprising of District Administration, Police and DTO. Further, all the guidelines for safe practices in high risk setting to prevent transmission of COVID-19 for commercial passenger vehicles/taxis/buses should be strictly followed. 

Any person/group acting in violation to this Order shall be liable to be punished under relevant provisions of law.
