FIRST ROUND OF DISTRICT-LEVEL TRAINING FOR POLLING PERSONNEL CONDUCTED AT KOHIMA

           The First round of Training for Presiding Officers and first Polling Officers Personnel in view of the forthcoming General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023 was held on 1st February 2023 at Kohima College, Billy Graham Road.

Presiding officers and 1st Polling officers training were held at Kohima College for both female and male officers in 10 halls. All the Master trainers emphasized roles and responsibilities during the election as Polling Officers where its effectiveness and efficiency to the 14th NLA Election depends on each one of them. The trainers also urged all the trainees to work with dedication as a team for the successful conduct of the Election in the district and asked them to go through all the guidelines and instructions in detail and also to clarify their doubts in case of any confusion in regard to their roles and duties either to RO, AERO or master trainers.

The Master trainers also distributed a manual of EVM and VVPAT. The Master trainers for the training program include Moalung Deputy Director SCERT; Thebi Joseph, Research Associate SCERT; KetGovernment Associate professor Kohima College; Vekhosa Thinjo Assistant professor Kohima College; Er.Viketol Thol Sr. Lec. Government Polytechnic Kohima; Ketho Subject Matter Specialist, Agri; Pikato V Jimo Deputy Director Agri; Er. Imsuyanger Executive Engineer (R & B)PWD; Sedevizo Ziephru Dte. of Eco and Statistics; David Khutso, ESO Eco and Statistics Department; T Chubayanger Project Officer Department of Labour and Training Nodal Officer and Alongse Deputy Director Skill Development

Second Polling Officers and Third Polling officers training will be held on 2nd February 2023 at 10:00 AM onwards and Grade IV Staff Polling Personnel training will also be held on 2nd February 2023 at 3:00 PM onwards at Kohima College Billy Graham Road. The DC and DEO Kohima Shanavas C, IAS has directed all the appointed Polling Personnel to attend the training program without fail, failing which disciplinary action shall be taken under relevant provisions of the Act.
