PEREN DPDB MEETING HELD

The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on 8th December 2022 at DC's Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of Advisor Water Resources & Chairman DPDB Peren, Namri Nchang.

The Deputy Commissioner, Peren welcomed all the members present in the meeting and also let the new members: I. Wati, ADC Tening; Alemla Imti, ADEO; Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, EAC Ngwalwa; Er. Kidosap, SDO Peren (Power) and R.T. Chang, Addl. SP, Peren.

Reviewing the previous meeting minutes, DC reiterated the importance and benefits of CMHIS and also informed all the departments to contact SDO (C) Peren, Kelevituo Nisa if they have problems while registering. He also requested the Heads of Offices to ensure that the registration of all employees is completed immediately instead of keeping it in abeyance. Further, he requested all the departments that are yet to submit the staff lists in regard to the Election to do so at the earliest.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the house about the upcoming inter-ministerial visit from New Delhi to the State and also Peren District, in regard to which a circular will be issued soon. He also reminded and requested all the departments to submit the respective departmental activities in the DPDB WhatsApp group for awareness.

The agenda for Zonal Taxi Permit-Peren to Kohima was deferred to be discussed in the next meeting as there was no member to brief the house, while the registration of Tribal Society, Development of Tribal Society North East India, Head Office Jalukie, Old Peren was not approved as proper documentation report was not provided.

During the meeting, the Department of Land Resources and Agriculture also gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation of their respective departmental activities.

Chairman and Advisor Water Resources, Namri Nchang thanked all the members present for their continuous support and coordination in the smooth functioning of all the departments in the District. He also briefly highlighted the house some of the major achievements and developments undertaken and ongoing in the District under the able and dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio. Further, the Chairman also wished all the members joyous festival celebrations.

The Deputy Commissioner also thanked the Chairman for the pre-festive lunch provided for the DPDB members after the meeting.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks proposed by DC Peren.
