STATE GOVERNMENT EXTENDS LOCKDOWN TILL 18TH JUNE 2021

To prevent and combat the surge of COVID-19 in the State, order was issued earlier dated 11.05.2021 and further extended vide orders dated 20.05.2021 and 28.05.2021.

 

The situation in the State has been reviewed and it is observed that there is a declining trend in the number of daily COVID-19 positive cases. Further, the spread of COVID-19cases in rural and peri-urban areas are being continuously monitored. However, the number of activeCOVID-19 positive cases in the State is still a matter of concern.

 

After taking into considerations the views of the Health & Family Welfare Department and the various District Task Forces, the State Government is satisfied that the lockdown measures be continued for some more time.

 

Therefore, in partial modification of the lockdown measures issued vide the orders mentioned above, and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22 (2) (b) and Section 22 (2) (h) of the Disaster Management Act. 2005, the undersigned in the capacity of Chairperson, State Executive Committee, has directed that the existing lockdown measures shall remain in force in the State with the following additional relaxations/ directives from 12h June to 18th June 2021.

 

  1. The practice of 'NO MASK - NO MOVEMENT and 'NO MASK - NO ENTRY" shall be strictly enforced by the respective District Task Forces and law enforcing agencies.

 

  1. Permitted shops and business establishments shall be allowed to open between 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM. However, DTFs may decide the timing as per the local conditions

 

  1. Shops selling stationeries, mobile phones and computer accessories, garages for automobile repairing and shops selling vehicle spare parts shall be allowed to open on alternate days as determined by the respective DTFs.

 

  1. Regular religious services and gatherings shall continue to be suspended. However, prayer meetings and fellowships may be allowed in religious places with not more than 20 persons with strict adherence to COVID-19 appropriate behavior.

 

  1. Administrative offices of Schools/Colleges with a core group of officers/staff shall be permitted to attend to urgent and essential matters.

 

  1. Private business offices with a core group of officers/staff may be permitted to attend to urgent and essential matter with the permission of the respective District Task Forces

 

  1. New construction works may be permitted after examination by the respective DTFs and fresh labourers shall be allowed as per provisions under the Revised SOP for returnees and travellers issued vide NO.NSDMA-ER-COVID-19/368/2021/5274 dated 29.04.2021.

 

  1. Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the State shall be permitted to open as per the requirements of the respective District Task Forces for IT support during COVID-19 vaccination.

 

  1. Light Motor vehicles (LMVs) including Taxi, auto rickshaws, etc shall be allowed to ply on ODD-EVEN basis. Drivers of the Taxi, auto rickshaws shall need to get negative COVID-19 test report for resumption of services. The DTFs may however, consider imposing restrictions depending on the prevailing situations to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Bus service, two-wheeler taxi service and pillion riding shall remain suspended.
