TEAM DIMAPUR ACKNOWLEDGES NGOs & CIVIL SOCIETIES

Team Dimapur led by Nodal officer Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS, and accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, IPS, visited several  NGOs/civil societies on 9th June 2021, acknowledging them for the help rendered in the fight against Covid pandemic.

At Hope Charitable Foundation, Lingrijan, the team met the Director and during a brief interaction thanked the NGO for reaching out to the poor and needy, providing 24x7 toll free facility and giving counseling services.

Team Dimapur also met the Rotary Club, President, Chandu Agarwal and their team and lauded them for their continued support and cooperation not only during the 1st and 2nd Covid wave but during any extra ordinary times.

The team also met and acknowledged the Bengali Bongs President and members for their humanitarian services by providing more than 100 packed food to the poor people and also for coming forward to donate blood when need arises.

Team Dimapur also visited Sikh Gurudwara and met the President, Harbev Singh and members.

Dubbing them as brave warriors, Kikheto Sema mentioned that Sikh community was the first amongst the NGOs, this year and even last year too rendering philanthropic services in the fight against Covid 19 pandemic.

He re-iterated on the huge responsibility shouldered by Dimapur district being the gateway of Nagaland and reminded that the war will go on and asserted," we will win the war.

Pointing out that presently, Dimapur district has enough beds and oxygen cylinders with huge reduction of positive cases, Sema said, " We are in the winning side and Corona is on the losing side”, and further encouraged Dimapur warriors  by saying, "Get ready if our services are required even  in the  other districts, we will go and help them."

Appreciating the decision of High Powered Committee for extension of lockdown for another week, Sema admitted that economic activities are needed but opined that human lives are more important.
