AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN TO INDIA VISITS KOHIMA VILLAGE

The Japanese Ambassador, Suzuki Hiroshi and his entourage also visited Kohima village and was showcased the traditional weaving, folk songs etc. on 8th May 2024.

In a short discussion with the village elders and members, Hiroshi acknowledged the Angami’s for their hospitality and the bond of friendship till now, since the 2nd World war. He also mentioned on the Eco Park and the peace memorial which was inaugurated earlier in the day to be taken up by the JICA which will lead to a new kind of cooperation and strengthen the bond of friendship.

Thepfulhouvi Solo also narrated on the consequences and the hardships faced by the Angamis in particular during the 2nd World war.
