IEC AWARENESS PROGRAM HELD AT DIMAPUR

Urban Development Department under Swachh Bharat Mission conducted an IEC awareness programme -cum- training on waste segregation and plastic waste management for all ULBs (Urban Local Bodies) staff and stakeholders at the Purana Bazaar Council Hall (East Dimapur) on the 26th of August 2022.

Speaking at the programme, ADC Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe, said that wastes should be segregated and use of plastic bags should be stopped. She added that wastes are very hazardous and should be taken care of. She urged every council member to management waste properly and make the environment clean for the future generation.

The training was organised by LiFE (NGO) led by Chairman & Founder, Nicksungla Jamir, and Assistant Program Coordinator, Athungbeni A. Ovung.
