MMHONLUMO KIKON LAUNCHES BRILLANTE WEBSITE

The website of Brillante, the Nagaland piano festival 3rd edition, was officially launched by Advisor IT &C, New & Renewable Energy, Science & Technology, Mmhonlumo Kikon at the Directorate of IT&C, Kohima on 29th November 2021.

Mmhonlumo Kikon speaking at the event acknowledged Brillante, the Nagaland Piano festival 3rd edition for putting Nagaland on the world map in piano music which is significant and historic. He added that the event is a brilliant idea and over the years it has become a respected and a familiar brand in India’s music scene. He also congratulated the Brillante team for impacting many individuals through Brillante and the success stories of these individuals have not only transformed their life but have now become agents of change in the music industry. He also hoped that the vision of Brillante will make Nagaland the piano capital of India and also support the piano community beyond Nagaland.

Kikon remarked that though Nagaland is a small state, there is a need to aspire to take such initiatives to the national and international platform as well. He stated that he was thrilled to launch the first official website by an event based organization in the State of Nagaland. He also expressed gratefulness for taking the music to the next level of excellence and by establishing a prominent online portal which he said, will go a long way in amplifying our voices globally and the world over.

Kikon also said that in the age of technology, one must ensure that creativity to create music and arts should be amplified, only then one can find meaningful livelihood in creativity in the production of music and arts. He added that the website will facilitate the initiative to go global and will attract more audience to witness and access the various programs and initiatives taken by the organization.

Director Brillante, Khyochano TCK Ngully speaking at the event said that Brillante stands to promote piano music and provide platform to emerging artist. She also said that the festival is to celebrate the history and impact of piano music and encourage the study and performance of piano music in Nagaland. She added music need to be a community effort and also it need to be enjoyed outside the classrooms in the community as well.

Ngully said the event started in Nagaland in 2017 and it went national in 2019 and the third edition is now an international event. She also said the event will be launched virtually on 15-17 December 2021 in YouTube and six countries will participate in the virtual event. She also narrated various success stories and how Brillante has impacted and provided hope for artists in our state. 

Other highlights of the event included screening of a short video on previous event held and Vizotha Nagi presented a piano solo. NK square representative highlighted the features of the website.
