RIO ADDRESSES KOHIMA DPDB DAY OUT CUM PRE CHRISTMAS AT DZÜÜ RESORT, RÜSOMA

Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio said officers posted in the state capital has to contribute not only for their departments but to contribute towards all round development of the capital town. He said this while addressing the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Day Out cum Pre Christmas held at Dzüü Resort, Rüsoma on 27th November 2021.

Rio said, district officers should participate in more additional activities as being in the state capital and asked them to contribute their services in keeping the city clean and also to contribute in whatever ways possible for the development of the city. He also congratulated the Kohima DPDB for the services rendered so far for the welfare of the district, particularly the capital town.

Stating that the activities of Kohima Smart City had geared up, Rio emphasised on sanitation by adding that cleanliness of the whole district of Kohima including the villages and the capital city should be kept cleaned. He said a competition on cleanliness drive amongst the colonies and wards be conducted and be awarded and recorded in order to encourage them and also to have a good feeling of living in the district.

Informing that the Cultural Hall near NSF Martyrs’ Park will be inaugurated on 1st December 2021, Rio asked all the officers to attend the programme. He said that the cultural hall is a national and international standard hall, which will be a center of activities.

Rio also informed that in other to promote singing, a choir singing competition with a total prize money of Rs. five (5) lakhs will be held on 8th & 9th December 2021, where churches have been invited to participate with 7th December as the last date of entry. 

Rio also emphasised on Registration of Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland (RIIN), where he stated that each responsible elected officers should know and take the ownership to identify the indigenous person during the certification process to avoid mistakes as it is a sensitive issue. He also spoke on SARFAESI, where he said, as a responsible privilege Government servants, one should know all the policies and governance of the issues.

Advisor for Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Women Resources Development, R. Khing also spoke on the occasion.

Advisor for Technical Education and Election, Medo Yhokha chaired the programme. The DPDB agenda for the day were discussed and approved by the board while vote of thanks was proposed by ADC Kohima N Bhavani Sri, IAS followed by Christmas gift exchange among the members.

Legislature & Administration team led by the CM, Rio won the exhibition volleyball match played between the Legislature & Administration team the DPDB team. 

Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire; Advisor Youth Resources & Sports, Zale Neikha and MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro also attended the programme.
