WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATED AT LONGLENG

Yingli College, Longleng observed World Environment Day jointly organised by the Dept of Environmental Sciences and NSS on 5th June 2024.

In his short speech Jonathan S. Singsit, Assistant Professor, Environmental Sciences, Yingli College spoke on the theme, "Land %Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience". He also spoke on the importance of conservation forest and ecosystems.

Dr. B. Henshet Phom, Vice Principal, Yingli College, stressed on the cultural, scientific and spiritual significance of caring for our land.

As part of the programme saplings were planted by the students and teaching faculty. The Forest department, Longleng, provided the saplings.
