WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATED AT ZUNHEBOTO

Along with the rest of the world, District Administration, Zunheboto in collaboration with District Election Office organised and observed 'World Environment Day' with the theme "Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience" Land Slogan "Our Land, Our Future" we are generation restoration, at Town Square, Zunheboto on 5th June, 2024.

Earlier before the formal programme, 'NBSE' commemorating 50 years of its existence and with an aim to create awareness of a healthier environment, the department of Schools Education in collaboration with DFO (Forest) organized Half Marathon where the triumphant were felicitated at the programme.

Winning schools of the 'Rid Plastic' inter School Competition, Seven Homes School, Government Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto and Government High School (South point) were felicitated with cash awards by ZTC in the function.

Further, the celebration continued with large scale Plantation and Cleanliness Drive across the town headed by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali (IAS) with Superintendent of Police, DFO, other concerned government offices, NGOs, Student bodies and Zunheboto District Badminton Association.
